Jack Hilsdon
Jack Hilsdon Date of Birth: Jul 5, 1877 Share "Jack Hilsdon" on FacebookBorn in Marden, Kent in 1882, Jack had made a name for himself as a goalscorer for then amateur club Clapton Orient before he was asked to turn professional with the Town in August 1902.
The expected goals failed to arrive and after eight scoreless games in 1902-03 he was dropped and after brief spells at Fulham and West Ham went back to playing amateur football with Leytonstone.
His younger brother, George, who was on Luton’s books as an amateur for a brief time, went on to become an England international while playing for West Ham and Chelsea.
