James Imrie
James Imrie Date of Birth: Nov 8, 1933 Share "James Imrie" on FacebookBorn in Markinch, Fife in 1904, Jim ventured south to play for Kettering before playing for two years at Crystal Palace.
A commanding goalkeeper he came to Luton in the summer of 1931, just as the season started, and remained ever present for the remainder of that campaign but in 1932-33 he was blamed for an early 5-2 defeat at Bristol City and lost his place.
For the rest of that season he shared goalkeeping duties with veteran George Harford so when the opportunity came to be number one at Doncaster he left in June 1933 and enjoyed regular football at Belle Vue until the outbreak of War.
