Kerry Dixon

Kerry Michael Dixon Date of Birth: Jul 24, 1961

Kerry became the ‘one that got away’ with Luton Town rejecting the local lad, and Hatters fan, as a youngster leaving him to make a name for himself at Dunstable Town before moving to Reading for £20,000.

A goal every other game for the Royals earned the big striker a dream move to Chelsea in 1983 where he became a terrace hero netting 147 league goals and winning eight England caps in nine years at Stamford Bridge before entering in to another big money move, this time to Southampton.

The move did not work out and Kerry’s career then turned full circle with a free transfer to Luton where he weighed in with 19 goals and an appearance for the Town in an F.A.Cup semi-final against Chelsea in the twilight of his career.

Kerry later managed Doncaster, Hitchin and Dunstable Town.
