Kevin Watson

Kevin Watson Date of Birth: Jan 3, 1974

Born Hackney, London. Started out as a trainee with Tottenham Hotspur in 1992 where he managed just 5 appearances in 4 years. He was loaned out three times but found a permanent club in Swindon Town who had just been promoted to the second tier. He helped keep them up and played over 60 times scoring just once in his stay at the County Ground. Rotherham came calling in 1999 and he helped them gain two promotions and survival in the second tier. Although a midfielder, goals were scarce and in well over 100 games for the Millers, Kevin only scored 7 times. A loan spell at Reading turned into a permanent move where he stayed for two seasons then on to Colchester United for 4 seasons.

Kevin came to Luton for the minus 30 point 2008/09 season. He only managed 3 starts with 8 appearances from the bench before a knee injury ended his playing spell. Manager Mick Harford took Kevin on as a coach, a job he continued to do under Richard Money too. When he left Luton he was briefly appointed manager of Maldon and Tiptree but left after 11 days to be assistant manager at Stevenage under Teddy Sheringham.

Various assistant manager roles followed with Kevin having spells as manager at Bishops Stortford, Ebbsfleet United and Billericay Town. In March 2025 he took the job as manager of Sheppey United. Kevin also does broadcasting work.
