Matt Pollock

Maitland Pollock Date of Birth: Oct 31, 1952

Scottish Schoolboy international Matt chose Nottingham Forest from a list of suitors but in three years at the City Ground failed to make a first team appearance. After a trial at Walsall he accepted a move to non-League Burton where he was spotted by Luton scout Paddy Sowden who had gone to watch future Hatters star Steve Buckley.

At Kenilworth Road Matt, an industrious midfielder, managed only three League starts in two years and moved on again, this time to Portsmouth where he enjoyed a long run in the side.

A spell with Queen of the South followed before he hung up his boots to concentrate on a career as a pharmaceutical buyer.
