Max Dougan
Max Dougan Date of Birth: May 23, 1938 Share "Max Dougan" on FacebookScottish amateur international centre-half Max moved from Queens Park to Leicester City in 1963 but the consistency of Ian King and John Sjoberg at Filbert Street limited his first team appearances.
In December 1966, Fourth Division Luton lost 1-8 at bottom club Lincoln and the signing of the rugged, uncompromising Max the following week was just what the Hatters defence needed. Max converted to right back the following season, as the Town walked away with the Division Four title, before he bowed out in 1970 to join Dunstable.
Max eventually returned to Scotland and was a welcome guest of the Hatters for the Kenilworth Road Centenary celebration in 2005.
