Not given a chance at Bramall Lane he joined QPR, becoming a terrace favourite as well as their first capped player when being picked three times for Ireland.
Coming to Luton in October 1906, the forward failed to live up to his earlier feats and was never a regular in the side. He went to Aston Villa at the season’s end but did not get a game there before a spell at Gainsborough then a return to Ireland with Bohemians.
