Ricky McEvoy

Ricky McEvoy Date of Birth: Aug 6, 1967

One of the many Dublin boys that came to Luton Town over the years, Ricky signed professional forms as an 18 year old in August 1985 and soon made a name for himself in the reserve side as a skilful midfielder.

Ricky’s only first team chance came on Boxing Day 1986 when he replaced the injured Darron McDonough just after half-time in a 0-2 home defeat at the hands of Watford.

Although he gained some experience on loan at Cambridge United later in that season, Ricky decided to return to Dublin on receiving an offer from Shamrock Rovers.
