He went out on loan to Torquay United and Rotherham United and his contract was not renewed in 2008 and was signed by Luton manager Mick Harford
He made his debut in the 3 1 home defeat to Port Vale in the first game of the 2008/09 season. The midfielder demonstrated his good passing abilities in his 77 appearances scoring 5 goals in the process. He was a member of the victorious 2009 F.A. Trophy winning team at Wembley.
A change of manager saw Rossi fall out of favour and he was released by the Town in 2010. A season at Barnet was followed by two seasons at Cambridge United. A brief spell in Australia in 2013 was followed by a move to Lowestoft Town where he made 159 appearances. On to Dereham Town, back to Lowestoft then again to Dereham until the routine was broken by a move to Leiston in 2022 with his brother Ryan. In the summer of 2024 he returned to Norwich as Player Welfare Officer for the Academy.
Rossi played 3 times for the England C team.
