Stanley Spencer
Stanley Spencer Date of Birth: Jan 25, 1881 Share "Stanley Spencer" on FacebookContemporary reports state that Stanley was a Lancastrian businessman and amateur footballer who had played one game in the Football League with Blackpool in 1903-04.
He was on a business trip to Luton when he made himself known to the Town who needed someone to fill the problem centre-forward position. He played three games in 1904-05 and although he led the line well he did not score and was not retained.
Some years later he returned to Luton, managing a business in Bute Street.
