During his career, Steve had two spells at Cambridge and sandwiched in between was a period at Luton with David Pleat paying £160,000 for his services in July 1992. By his own admission the goalscoring inside-forward hardly pulled up any trees at Kenilworth Road and moved back to the Abbey in November 1992 for £195,000!
Combining a role as a radio and tv pundit Steve managed Millwall, Portsmouth, Weymouth and Salisbury.
