Tommy Brown
Tommy Brown Date of Birth: Sep 3, 1896 Share "Tommy Brown" on FacebookBorn in Denniston, Scotland in 1896, but brought up in Darlington, Tommy had short spells with four League clubs before pitching up at Kenilworth Road in the summer of 1924.
A fast and accurate left winger he played in 15 League games in 1924-25 but eventually lost his place to the more versatile George Dennis. Known as hot-headed he lost his temper with the barracking crowd in a game at Merthyr and was reported for using ‘foul and abusive language’ and fined £5 or 21 days in prison at a subsequent Magistrate’s Court.
Leaving Luton after one season he joined Poole Town before passing away in Durham in 1973.
