Amari Morgan-Smith

Amari Aaron Morgan-Smith Date of Birth: Apr 3, 1989

Amari joined the Hatters at the end of September 2010 after his previous club, Ilkeston Town, were liquidated by HMRC earlier in the month. He scored on his debut on the same day as signing for the Town, in a home victory against Mansfield Town. The highlight of his first season at the club was a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory against St Albans City in the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, which saw him named as Player of the Round. Amari started the 2011/12 season in excellent form, scoring 9 goals in his first 13 league appearances, however the remainder of his season was blighted by injuries, leading manager Paul Buckle to release him at the end of the season.

He trained again with Luton in the summer of 2013 after feeling he owed the club something, but wasn't offered a contract. Amari went on to forge a successful career in football, featuring for Oldham Athletic and Cheltenham Town in the Football League, winning the FA Trophy with York City, helping Kidderminster Harriers to the National League in 2023 as well as scoring the winning goal in their giant-killing in the FA Cup 3rd Round against Reading.
