Billy Kellock

William Kellock Date of Birth: Feb 7, 1954

Glaswegian midfielder who failed to make the grade at Aston Villa and moved to Cardiff in 1972 where he made his League debut for the Bluebirds as an 18 year old. Short stays at Norwich and Millwall followed before he dropped out of the league to join Kettering.

At Kettering Billy fulfilled his potential as an aggressive goalscoring midfielder and he continued to shine at Peterborough where he banged in 43 goals in 134 starts.

Luton manager David Pleat paid £30,000 for the talented Billy just as the Hatters were about to enter the top flight in 1982 but his stay was short, presumably because Pleat did not think he could cut it in Division One.

Transfers to Wolves, who he helped to promotion, Southend, Port Vale and Halifax followed before he finished back at Kettering where he managed a Country Club.
