Jake Jervis

Jake Mario Jervis Date of Birth: Sep 17, 1991

Jake was born in Wolverhampton, and stayed local, joining the Wolves Academy, as a schoolboy. He moved through other clubs academies too, joining Shrewsbury at age 12 and then the Birmingham Academy, where he signed professional forms and making his first team debut as a substitute in the FA Cup against Everton. Whilst at St Andrews Jake had an abundance of different loan spells, having spent time at Hereford, Notts County, Swindon, Preston, Carlisle, Tranmere and Portsmouth whilst at Birmingham. He left the Blues permanently, seeking a permanent home and more game time, heading abroad to join Turkish side Elazıgspor for a reported €50,000. He broke his foot after only 3 matches and his contract was cancelled in September 2013. Jake returned to England shortly after, to train with Coventry, Sheffield United and then Portsmouth, who would sign him permanently in January 2014. Jervis left Pompey after 6 Months. He would then join Ross County for a year before joining Plymouth ahead of the 2015/16 season. Jake would find some stability and success at Argyle, scoring 31 goals in 127 appearances.

In January 2018 he joined Luton Town for an undisclosed fee. Jervis struggled for success at Luton making just 14 appearances, scoring once, albeit a memorable goal during a victory against Cardiff City in the EFL Cup. During his time at the Hatters he spent time out on loan at AFC Wimbledon and Salford City, leaving the Hatters upon the conclusion of his contract at the end of the 2019/20 season. Since leaving Luton, Jake has gone on to play for SJK, East Bengal, KuPS, Brackley Town and Hednesford Town.
