Thomas Wilson Share "Thomas Wilson" on FacebookBorn in Alnwick in 1888, Thomas had spent four seasons at Middlesbrough making only 10 appearances in that time before joining Hearts in 1911.
After a year in Edinburgh he was invited to come to Luton just as the club was about to enter into Southern League Division Two. Thomas was a robust centre-half who took no prisoners and missed only one game in 1912-13.
For the following season the Town decided on a more scientific style of play which marginalised Thomas leading to him only playing when the selectors wanted someone who could get ‘stuck in’.
After making only 12 appearances between 1913-15 his contract was cancelled and he joined the Durham Light Infantry.
