Curtis Osano

Curtis Osano Date of Birth: Mar 8, 1987

Born in Nakuru, Kenya, Curtis came to england aged nine when his father joined the British Army. A talented athlete as a schoolboy, Curtis did not get into football until he was 13. Reading took him on and he stayed for two seasons making an F.A. Cup appearance in each. Reading were a top flight side so competition for places was fierce and Curtis was sent on loan to Conference sides Aldershot Town and then Woking. It was a season long loan to Rushden and Diamonds in 2007/08 that really launched his career. He made the move permanent and stayed for a total of 4 seasons making 174 appearances scoring one goal.

Financial problems at Rushden saw Curtis become a free agent and the Hatters signed him on a 6 month contract in the Summer of 2011. His contract was extended to the end of the season with manager Gary Brabin commenting - “Curtis has been excellent for us. He's a great athlete, has bags of enthusiasm, is a hard-worker and loves to get forward.”

The last of his 39 games came in the Play Off final defeat to York City at Wembley in May 2012. A season with AFC Wimbledon was marred by an ankle injury and after 20 games Curtis left for Indian club Bengaluru F.C. in the Summer of 2013. He stayed in India for three seasons then came back to England and Farnborough F.C. for a spell. On retirement Curtis took up web development as a career.
