Thomas Read

A former Luton Wanderer, Thomas became a founder member of the Town club in 1885 and from then on played in every position in the team including in goal where he was more than competent.

Along with Frank and Harry Whitby he became the Town’s first paid professional in 1891 but moved back into local amateur football soon after.
