Despite dominating the first half play, the Town fail to get on the scoresheet and go into the interval with nothing to show for their superiority. The second half follows the same pattern with the Saddlers defending bravely, and they are only two minutes away from stealing a point when Neil Emblen is penalised for a push on Coyne in the box, and Nicholls crashes home the resultant penalty. The Hatters’ fourth consecutive League win sends them nine points clear at the top of the table.
